Peer Review Statement

Peer Review Statement

All research articles published in the Nangarhar University Journal of Arts and Humanities (NUJAH) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic integrity, quality, and relevance.

Overview of the Review Process

  1. Manuscript Submission
The author submits the completed manuscript to the journal.

  2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary assessment to check for scope alignment, completeness, formatting, originality, and potential ethical concerns.

  3. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to two or more independent reviewers under a double-blind review system, where both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept anonymous.

  4. Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, scholarly contribution, methodological soundness, clarity, and citation integrity. They provide one of the following recommendations:

    • Accept as is

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)

    • Reject

  5. Editorial Decision
The Editor reviews the feedback and makes a final decision, which is communicated to the author along with anonymized reviewer comments.

  6. Revision and Resubmission
The author revises the manuscript in response to reviewer feedback and resubmits it to the editor for final verification.

  7. Final Processing
Upon acceptance, the revised manuscript is prepared for publication and forwarded to the journal’s Production Department.

Note: NUJAH strictly follows a double-blind peer review policy for all submitted manuscripts to ensure impartiality and uphold high scholarly standards.
