Simple Instructions for Authors

Types of Papers
NUJAH accepts the following types of scholarly contributions:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Systematic Reviews
- Mini Reviews
- Case Studies / Case Reports
All submissions must present new insights or significant academic value within the fields of Arts, Humanities, Languages, Cultural Studies, or related disciplines.
Manuscript Structure and Preparation
- Title Page
Include:
- Full title of the manuscript (clear, concise, and informative)
- Author(s) full name(s)
- Institutional affiliations (including department, university, city, country)
- Email address of the corresponding author
- ORCID iD (optional but encouraged)
- Abstract
150–250 words summarizing:
- Background and significance of the study
- Aims or research questions
- Methods or approaches
- Key findings
- Implications or conclusions
Avoid citations and undefined abbreviations.
- Keywords
3–5 keywords (not found in the title) to support indexing and searchability.
Main Sections of the Manuscript
Introduction
Contextualize your research, define the problem, cite key literature, and clearly state the aim and significance.
Materials and Methods
Describe your methodology or approach in sufficient detail to ensure reproducibility (for empirical work) or methodological transparency (for theoretical/historical/interpretive work).
Results
Present findings in a structured and logical manner, with appropriate use of tables or figures when necessary.
Discussion
Interpret findings about the literature, theoretical implications, or practical applications. Address limitations and possible future directions.
Conclusion
Summarize the major findings and their relevance. Avoid repeating earlier content.
Acknowledgments
Credit individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that contributed to the work.
Conflict of Interest
Declare any potential conflicts. If none, state:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
Submission Guidelines
Manuscript Format
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch (all sides)
- Number pages and include continuous line numbers
- Use italics sparingly for emphasis
Referencing Style
- APA 7th Edition
- All references must be cited in-text
- Include full DOI links where available
Example:

Tables and Figures
Tables
- Numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2…)
- Include clear titles and legends
- Avoid using image files for tables
Figures
- Numbered (Figure 1, Figure 2…)
- Insert figures within the manuscript where they are cited
- Include high-resolution images (JPEG/PNG)
- Use uniform fonts and sizing in figures
Submission Process
Submit all manuscripts via email to:

Your submission must include:
- Cover letter
- Signed copyright form
- Manuscript file (in Word)
Incomplete or improperly formatted submissions will be returned without review.
Review Process
- All submissions undergo double-blind peer review
- Review decisions are typically communicated within 2–3 weeks
- Revisions should be submitted promptly based on editorial guidance
Permissions
If your manuscript includes previously published material (figures, tables, or text), secure written permission from the copyright holder and submit it alongside the manuscript.
Ethical Considerations
- Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere
- Authors must disclose funding sources, potential conflicts, and contributions honestly
- Plagiarism in any form will result in immediate rejection
Word Limit and Authorship
- Manuscripts should typically not exceed 12 pages (excluding references and appendices)
- Up to five authors are generally acceptable; special cases may be considered
- Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria may be acknowledged separately
