Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors submitting to Nangarhar University Journal of Arts and Humanities (NUJAH) are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm the following:

  • Originality and Exclusivity: The manuscript is the original work of the author(s), has not been previously published, and is not under review elsewhere. Submitting the same or substantially similar work to more than one journal is considered unethical and will result in immediate rejection.

  • Responsibility for Content: Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their work. They confirm that the manuscript contains no false claims, unlawful content, or infringements on the rights of others.

  • Authorship Criteria: Only individuals who have made substantial academic contributions to the research and writing should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the final manuscript. Any individual who contributed to specific elements of the work (e.g., data collection, editing, technical assistance) but does not meet the criteria for authorship must be properly acknowledged in a footnote or acknowledgments section.

  • Research Disclosure: Authors must disclose the title and code of any research project that supported the work, as well as the full name of the funding agency or institution. If the manuscript is based on a conference presentation, authors must clearly state the name, date, and location of the event.

  • Proper Citation and Referencing: Authors are responsible for properly citing all sources that influenced the research. Direct quotes, figures, equations, and tables from other works must be identified and accompanied by accurate source references, including page numbers where applicable. Only sources that are directly cited in the manuscript should appear in the reference list.

  • Error Correction: If a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered after publication, authors are obliged to promptly inform the Editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article as appropriate.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that might influence the research or its interpretation.

  • Editorial Policy Compliance: By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to comply with all editorial and ethical guidelines outlined by NUJAH.

  • Copyright Agreement: Upon acceptance, authors are required to submit a signed copyright transfer form.
